Q: Is the auto car wash safe for my car?
Yes, the touch free auto wash means exactly that – at no time does the equipment touch your car. We use the latest technology to ensure you leave with a sparkling clean and dry vehicle and peace of mind that your vehicle will not be harmed in any way during your LuxeWash.
In fact, washing your vehicle at LuxeWash is safer than washing it at home by hand! We do have some Vehicle Restrictions on what we can and can’t safely wash.
Q: How long does the auto wash take?
A standard auto wash takes a super fast 5 minutes!
A premium wash will take up to 8 minutes to complete as it requires some manual preparation work prior to entering the auto wash.
Regardless, in and out in under 10 minutes!
Q: How often should I wash my car?
The standard rule is every 2 – 3 weeks. This will ensure dirt and grime from pollution doesn’t build up and start affecting the paint on your car.
- Live in a rural area or drive regularly on dirt roads? You may want to wash your car more frequently to avoid dirt building up on the car surface.
- Live near the beach or an industrial area? Salt water can corrode, and chemical particles from factories and nearby industry can also damage your car paint. In these cases, it’s best to wash your car weekly to avoid problems.
Q: How do I keep my car in tip top condition?
Park your car under cover
This is the biggest one. Bird droppings, tree sap/leaves and insects can emit an acid which will damage your car exterior. It’s worse in hot weather.
Wash your car after a trip to the beach
A holiday near the ocean is great for you, not so great for your car! The salt water can corrode your car’s underbody and paint…it’s always advisable to wash your car as soon as possible after the holiday.
Driving long distances on highways?
Your car will be exposed to more dirt, pollution and insects – best to wash your car more frequently.

Q: Does the paint on the car get affected if I wash my car too much?
Not at all!
Washing your car actually has a protective effect for your car exterior and paint. Removing all the dirt, grime and bugs from your car preserves the colour and shine of your car’s paint for longer
Q: Can I clean the inside of my car as well?
Yes, we have four vacuum bays that can be used to clean the inside of your car. Plus, our vending machine holds various car cleaning consumables that will give you that “new car” feeling.
Q: Are there any types of vehicles you can't wash?
- Vehicles taller than 2.1 metres
- Vehicles wider than 2.7 metres
- Vehicles that sit 101mm or lower to the ground.
- Vehicles with large ladder racks.
- Trucks/ van with ladders.
- Open bed pickup trucks with debris, tools, or any other loose materials.
- Open bed pickup trucks with fuel tanks.
- Vehicles with permanently affixed tri-pod style mirrors.
Q: Which vehicles are washed at your own risk?
- Previous Damage (loose molding/emblems, blistered or peeling paint, pin striping etc.)
- Cracked Windshields
- Aftermarket accessories such as bug shields
- Objects on Antennas (balls, flags, etc.)
- Power antennas that won’t lower
- Ski and Bike Racks
- Racing Fins and Spoilers

LuxeWash Redbank Plains is staffed from 8:00am to 4:00pm daily. Our friendly staff is there to help guide you through the process if you’re new to automatic car washing!

Q: Do you have days/times during the week when I can get a special deal?
Yes, we currently have two daily specials!
On Tuesday, between 8am and 4pm, we provide Seniors $3 off our Ultimate Wash normally priced at $18.
On Wednesday, between 8am and 4pm, you can wash your dog for $7 rather than the normal $10. Just speak to the attendant to receive the special on the day.
